Medical Sheepskin Rug
Our Medical Sheepskin Rug is made from high density Australian lambskin with a plush 30mm wool pile. The wool fibres help distribute pressure, absorb moisture and promote air circulation, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.
Wool can absorb up to 33% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet, wicking it away from the skin to keep it dry. The wool pile also reduces friction and skin tearing caused by shear forces, making it an ideal overlay for people confined to a bed or wheelchair and helping reduce the primary causes of bedsores, pressure sores and decubitus ulcers. It can also be used on recliners and chairs, or as a soft play rug for babies.

Care instructions
This is a Regular Temperature sheepskin. Dry cleaning is recommended where possible. Spot clean small stains with a sponge dipped in 20ml wool wash mixed with 500ml water.
Machine wash up to 40°C on a short or wool cycle using wool wash only. Avoid regular laundry powders, as they can strip the wool's natural oils and stiffen the leather.
Dry in the shade over a chair or clothesline, turning after a few hours. Avoid direct sunlight and heaters. Tumble dry on cold only.
